Jessica has been a member of the staff of Birch Hill from the year it opened. Previously, she worked at Seaward Management as a Portfolio Assistant for Tom Reilly. She was also a Custody Officer in the Custody Department at The Boston Company, which became part of BNY Mellon. Altogether, she has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Jessica has a BS in Accounting from Northeastern University. She lives in Roslindale with her three sons.

Q: What are your role and responsibilities at Birch Hill?
A: My main responsibilities are to assist several portfolio managers in managing their client relationships and interact directly with their clients through email or phone requests. I also assist Paul Donovan, our Chief Compliance Officer, with various compliance-related tasks.

Q: What do you think Birch Hill’s best qualities are?
A: Birch Hill is like a second family to me. I really enjoy the family-like atmosphere. Everyone is so friendly and respectful.

Q: What about what you do brings you the most personal satisfaction?
A: Being able to respond to the many requests we get from our clients. I believe the quick responses they get from us make them feel grateful, and I get a lot of satisfaction from that.

Q: When you’re not working, how do you spend your time?
A: Spend quality time with family and friends. Maintain daily meditation and exercising to stay healthy.

Q: If you weren’t at Birch Hill, what do you think you’d be doing?
A: Volunteer myself to work with some charities. Travel to places that I have never had a chance to visit before.

Q: What words do you live by?
A: “No pain, no gain.”
