Joseph M. Rizzo

Joseph Rizzo joined Birch Hill as an associate in 2024. Joe handles various operational and IT tasks, including updating our portfolio accounting system, setting up new accounts and securities, working with the custodian banks, facilitating internal reporting, client report packages, and more. In addition, Joe is Birch Hill’s equity trader responsible for execution, allocation, and settlement. Before joining Birch Hill, Joe was a Senior Portfolio Account Analyst at BNY Mellon.

A graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, with a degree in Political Science and a Certificate of International Relations. Joe enjoys playing basketball, spending time outdoors, and attending live music events.

Q: What do you think Birch Hill’s best qualities are?
A: The commitment to deliver results through a collaborative, experienced team that prioritizes both client success and a positive, supportive work environment.

Q: What about what you do brings you the most personal satisfaction?
A: I enjoy learning, overcoming new challenges, and finding solutions to problems.

Q: When you’re not working, how do you spend your time?
A: I try to spend as much time as I can with friends and family. I also enjoy participating in recreational sports leagues and spending time outdoors.

Q: If you weren’t at Birch Hill, what do you think you’d be doing?
A: I have always found great joy in coaching youth sports. I spent several summers doing so, and it was one of my most rewarding experiences. Additionally, I would love to travel, explore new places, and potentially combine it with coaching at camps or clinics around the world.
